You will work with industry professionals as a salon assistant, to assist with the general running of the salon, and the team at The Atrium Hair Lounge will provide a supportive learning environment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will assist trained staff in performing duties, whilst receiving a high level of supervision. Students will spend a considerable amount of time observing professionals and may undertake the following:
All aspects of customer service, observing and taking part in treatments, dependent on level of competency
Greet and seat clients
Prepare clients for salon services
Offer clients tea/coffee and converse in a friendly manner
General cleaning, sweeping and set up and pack away tasks
Prepare treatments and apply skills of shampooing and conditioning hair
Learn to answer phone and book appointments

Student Requirements

Students are required to have a genuine interest in the hairdressing industry, a friendly manner and neat presentation.

Dress Requirements

Students must dress smartly with a neat and tidy appearance and wear comfortable shoes

Student to make own transportation arrangements
