As part of a small and friendly team your role will be to assist the Optometrists who provide eye care services to customers at the Horsham store.
You will be provided with training on how to meet and greet customers, undertake initial eye screening, assist customers to select suitable frames, place orders for frames and how to process payments.

Block release of 3 weeks placement is preferred. This placement can lead to a full-time paid position.

This placement will provide students with valuable 'hands-on experience' and the opportunity to learn from experienced industry professionals. Students will have the opportunity to attain a broad range of skills while on SWL placement. These skills include valuable general employability skills in communication, teamwork, problem solving, planning and technology.

• Occupational health and safety practices.

Typical Tasks & Duties

As a first point of contact for all customers you will be part of a team who:
• Support the Optometrists with pre-screening.
• Offer customers frame styling advice.
• Dispense glasses with various lens options.
• Build strong rapport with customers.
• Process sales.
• Perform daily cleaning duties.

• Have a passion for the customer service industry and be committed to the task.
• Have a neat appearance and wear clothes appropriate to the workplace.

Dress Requirements

Workwear appropriate for this workplace requires neat black pants and formal/smart white top.
Advice regarding suitable clothing will be discussed at the interview.
Closed toe shoes are an OH&S requirement.
