Would you like to work in a low care aged care facility that cares for elderly residents who may require support and assistance with routine personal daily tasks. This placement will provide you with a great opportunity to learn the many aspects of health care. You will be supervised by experienced staff and given the opportunity to perform a wide variety of tasks building on your skills that can be used to future your knowledge in the allied health industry.

Typical Tasks & Duties
Under the supervision of qualified staff students will assist in the care of the residents assisting with their daily activities. Students will have the opportunity to assist in the preparation for mealtimes, serving residents their meals cleaning, laundry, interacting with residents supporting lifestyle activities, taking residents on outings and observing health professionals.
Student Requirements
Appropriate dress, punctuality, able to communicate with seniors, willing to work along side the supervisors in all aspects of the daily activities in a residential setting. PLEASE NOTE Students are not permitted to - Administer medical treatments
• Bathe patients
• Discuss the condition of patients
• Dispense and administer medication
Dress Requirements
Smart casual dress with closed toe shoes.
Special Transport Requirements
Students must provide own transport to and from the office site. Public transport is available.
