Typical Tasks & Duties

Typical tasks and duties will vary depending on student skill level and experience. Some typical tasks will include hand sewing, unpicking, cutting and tracing patterns, accurate measuring and fitting customers, understanding the various needs of clients. Depending on skill level, sewing machine use and some design work will be welcomed.

Student Requirements

Basic sewing skills and you will need a friendly and pleasant manner. Must be studying a related course in fashion/dressmaking, keen to learn the trade and accept advice.
Must be committed to attend every day of placement opportunity.
