Skills You Might Learn

Students will learn to be part of the team, handling various materials, use of tools and equipment, etc in order to meet specific task requirements. Additional skills will include communication, time management, following instructions, problem solving, demonstrating initiative, etc.

Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will begin with the basics, observing and gaining a solid understanding of Workplace Procedures and Health & Safety.Tasks. Tasks will be mainly outdoor, working onsite, assisting with the cleaning and preparation of site before construction begins.

Student Requirements

Student Requirements This is a “physical” role, so a level of coordination and dexterity is vital. Best suited to students interested in Building & Construction.

Dress Requirements

Work boots, long pants and long sleeved tops of sturdy material, suitable for a construction site. High Vis gear and other PPE will be provided by employer if required.
