Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain skills and knowledge in:
Assisting in repair and maintenance of heavy and light vehicles, light machinery and associated equipment to meet standards and timeframes.
Learning repair techniques
Writing estimates
Inspecting and testing vehicles and machinery
Testing batteries
Cleaning the workshop and inventory
Disassembling vehicles and engines
Ordering vehicle parts
Following checklists
Performing simple automotive repairs

Typical Tasks & Duties

Typical tasks and duties will include but are not limited to:
Observe and assist qualified technicians in repairs in the workshop and out in the field
Assist with diagnostics and learn the skills required to be a heavy diesel ag machinery technician
Students will also learn to work safely in a workshop and follow policy and procedures

Student Requirements

Students will have a passion for the agricultural industry, be committed to the task, have good time management and be keen to learn.
Must be punctual
Must be willing to be part of a team
Students to have a genuine interest in Mechanics

Safety Boots, Hi Vis Shirt, Hi Vis Pants
