At T&M Plumbing you can experience the plumbing requirements of new homes and see if the trade is really what you want to do, or put some of your Tafe skills into practice. You will be under the guidance of qualified, experienced plumbers and gain industry experience while completing your Work Experience placement.

Skills You Might Learn

The use of basic plumbing hand tools, equipment and processes will be learnt. As well, students will learn workplace communication in real life scenarios. They will also assist with site tidying and the maintenance of tools and equipment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Tasks will be around assisting the plumber and the student will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices. They will work as a team member while under regular supervision. Specifically, observing the use of hand tools and digging equipment will be a big part of a student's working day, which could involve roofing, sewage and general plumbing plus irrigation installation.

Student Requirements

Students must have a willingness to learn and be able to follow instructions carefully and competently. Students must be willing to communicate clearly and work as a productive team member.

Dress Requirements

Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots
