Whittlesea Community Connections

Whittlesea Community Connections (WCC) is an independent, community-based organisation that works alongside the community to develop programs and services that respond to community needs. As part of the organization is the Whittlesea Food Collective; an initiative aimed to increase food security. Some of the programs that run out of the food collective include fresh produce markets, emergency food relief, horticulture classes and a demonstration garden. This garden was developed to produce food to contribute to the Emergency Relief program and to engage the local community, schools and other groups in gardening activities.

Currently the garden is in the development phase; further planning and establishing of more garden beds and an onsite compost system is underway.
