Mainfreight is looking for three enthusiastic Years 11 and 12 students to join this global company to work in warehousing. Mainfreight began it's operations in New Zealand in 1978 and in Australia in 1989. - Develop an understanding of how a global air, road and freight services company operates
- Improved communication and team work skills
- An understanding of warehouse and logistics processes and procedures
- Develop knowledge of dangerous goods
- OH&S in a warehouse environment.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Some of the tasks and duties that will be required to be undertaken by students include:

- Working in warehousing, although students will not be using motorised equipment
- Picking and packaging of goods, wrapping and strapping trucks to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Handling, labeling and dispatching of goods
- Checking damaged goods
- Data entry
- Stock control and maintenance
- Housekeeping and general upkeep of the warehouse
- Adhering to warehouse and logistics procedures.

Student Requirements

The student must be good with numeracy and literacy, able to follow instructions and work safely. They will be willing to seek assistance from their Manager as required. The student should be able to work in a team, have good communication skills and the ability to travel and work independently.

Dress Requirements

The student must wear comfortable clothing and comfortable non-slip closed toes shoes.
