Skills You Might Learn

During this work experience the students will learn about the different aspects of the building & construction industry, as well as occupational health and safety, communication, team work and following directions.

Typical Tasks & Duties

During placement with Kapitol Group, students will have a chance to shadow and observe Project Managers, OH&S Managers, Quality Control Officers, Environment & Sustainability Professionals, and Site Managers. On-site, you will also get exposure to the work of Demolition Labourers, Carpenters, Plasterers and Painters.
A laptop will be provided.

Student Requirements

A White Card is good to have, but is not a requirement for this opportunity. If you have a White Card, please advise us in your cover letter. Students should have a keen interest in construction and project management, be willing to learn, have good communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and neat presentation.

Dress Requirements

Steel cap boots, long sleeve top & pants are required. All other PPE will be provided (e.g. hard hat, hi-vis vest, protective glasses).

Public transport is available nearby.
