Undertaking an SWL placement with Neil Beer Seymour will see you work alongside the service team and gain a vast range of experience that will complement your study in automotive.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will extend their knowledge of the automotive industry and gain skills in:

- Basic mechanical tasks
- Documentation and reporting and OH&S

Typical Tasks & Duties

Working alongside the service team you will have the opportunity to undertake basic mechanical tasks that may include:
- work as part of a team
- learn to manually assess vehicles
- work on a variety of vehicles types
- learn to diagnose and repair vehicles
- tidying and maintenance of workshop equipment

Student Requirements

Students should have a keen interest in the automotive industry and a willingness to learn. Students will be required to email Lena at the CRLLEN to express an interest in a placement (lena@centralrangesllen.org.au). Emails should include a covering letter & resume, requested dates for placement, type of placement and identify any relevant VET courses the student is undertaking.

Dress Requirements

Students should be dressed appropriately for duties in the workshop
