Typical Tasks & Duties

Tasks allocated will vary depending on the interest and experience of the student. Work experience or SWL is likely to include assisting a mechanic with removing and repairing or replacing parts, servicing and cleaning client's cars.

Student Requirements

Students need an interest in the automotive industry and a willingness to follow instructions.

Dress Requirements

Long sleeve shirt and trousers are necessary. Workboots must be worn.

Special Transport Requirements

Students will need to arrange their own transport to this workplace. They must also complete the Work Experience or SWL Transport form in case they travel in the employer's vehicle.
