Rumbolds Auto Electrical
In this placement students will have the chance of hands-on practical experience in the automotive electrics field. As well they will be observing and learning from qualified and experienced professionals. Students will be operating in an orderly and well equipped workshop. Staff at Rumbold's Auto Electrical are keen supporters of the School to Work program and this is a great opportunity to find out about the automotive electrical field.
Skills You Might Learn
The use of basic mechanical hand tools and mechanical processes will be learnt. As well students will learn workplace communication in real life scenarios. They will also assist with specific auto electrics tasks and the maintenance of workshop facilities relating to auto electrical repairs.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Tasks will be around assisting other employees in their roles and the student will be expected to be an active participant in all workplace practices. They will work as part of a team while under regular supervision. Specifically, the running of cables and cleaning parts will part of student's working day.
Student Requirements
The students must have completed the OH&S module in WRS VM or else have begun the OH&S module in the relevant VET course.
Dress Requirements
Students are to wear neat casual dress appropriate for the work place plus sturdy work boots.
Special Transport Requirements
Students may need to organise their own transport to work.
