Skills You Might Learn
Practical and hands on opportunity to learn how to assemble cabinets and consider design and layout. You will learn the importance of accurate measurement, keeping a clean workshop, working as part of a small team and understanding work expectations of punctuality and commitment.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will gain hands on experience in edging, assembling and installation of cabinets, making draws, assisting tradesmen, sanding, shelving, cleaning, some fitting removal and unloading of equipment.
Student Requirements
You will need to supply your own work boots. This opportunity is available only to the most enthusiastic student who is able to show true initiative. You will need to be punctual, early starts are required. An interview is required prior to commencement.
Dress Requirements
Work boots and clothing appropriate to factory environment.
Special Transport Requirements
The employer is located a short walk from public transport. The employer is prepared to meet or pick up - negotiate with the employer.
