Skills You Might Learn

General knowledge of start to finish process of a house build. Working safely in the building industry and developing communication skills used in the building industry.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students may be exposed to a variety of tasks in both domestic and light commercial work which may include:
labouring, work site preparation, digging and lifting, cleaning, landscaping, reading and interpreting plans

Student Requirements

The student must be trade oriented and have a genuine interest in the building trade. The student must also demonstrate good communications skills and well presented.

Dress Requirements

Enclosed boots, and work pants.

Special Transport Requirements

The student must have own transport arrangements to meet at designated location for start of shift and pick up.
