This is an exciting three-day Work Experience program focused on sustainability, renewable energy, and environmental conservation. You’ll engage in real-world tasks such as designing litter prevention strategies, conducting energy audits using infrared technology, and co-designing green solutions, all while working alongside industry professionals in your local community!

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will undertake a series of hands on activities, including:
- Field visits: Travelling to different sites across Moonee Valley to learn about their environmental impact
- Conducting environmental scans: Assessing the efficiency of Moonee Valley City Council spaces using infrared testing technology
- Assist in project planning: Support the development of sustainability programs in Moonee Valley
- Providing consultation: Use your experience as a young person to contribute to the development of innovative ideas to promote sustainability in Moonee Valley

Students are required to have filled all attached forms for this placement:
- Work Experience Arrangement Form
- Valley Youth Participation Form
- Valley Youth Photography Permission Form
- Valley Youth Excursion Consent Form

Students must be available to attend the 'Meet, Greet and Sign' session on Thursday 7th November at 4:30pm-5:30pm at Valley Youth Space.

The 'Meet, Greet and Sign' provides the opportunity for students to get their Work Experience forms signed and to give Moonee Valley City Council their other signed consent forms.

Dress Requirements

- Wear closed toe shoes
- A light weight long sleeve top and long pants
- A hat
- Sunscreen
- A raincoat and umbrella (if rain is predicted)

Car - There is 4-hour parking on site, and all-day parking in nearby streets
