Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will have the opportunity to assist tradespeople working through various stages of metal fabrication and welding. This may include reading plans and drawing, preparing steel, cutting, welding, grinding and painting. Students will also assist in cleaning the workshop, unloading products, stacking steel and general duties as required.
Student Requirements
A genuine interest in metal fabrication, welding, cutting, rolling, grinding.
Personal mobile phones are not required and should only be used out of work hours or on meal breaks.
Dress Requirements
Student to wear industry appropriate work wear and safety boots.
