Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will assist and observe qualified tradespeople in all aspects of plumbing services. Typical tasks and duties may include but not limited to:
• Working on both building and commercial sites
• Using power and hand tools
• Plumbing service, repairs and maintenance
• Use hand and power tools to assist in a job
• Performing basic measurements and calculations
• Studying drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications
• Stock taking the materials used on jobs
• Assisting other contractors including builders, electricians and other tradespeople
• Tidying workshop areas and observing basic plumbing procedures while under supervision
Student Requirements
Students are required to be studying Certificate II in Plumbing (Pre-Apprenticeship) or Building and Construction and be proficient in math’s. Students must have White Card.
Personal mobile phones are not required and should only be used out of work hours or on meal breaks.
Dress Requirements
Appropriate work pants or shorts and safety boots. Hard hat and hi-vis shirt provided.
