A bustling café in the heart of Castlemaine, this sought after spot offers fair trade coffee and a full breakfast/lunch menu all day. Placements provide the opportunity to learn valuable employability skills such as communication and time management as well as learning industry skills specific to Hospitality. As a popular coffee and dining destination with both locals and visitors you will have the opportunity to learn firsthand what it takes to work in a busy cafe/restaurant.
The close knit team proudly hosts and supports students from Bendigo and Castlemaine.
Skills You Might Learn
Students without any prior experience will learn valuable industry and employability skills. Students who are already studying VET Hospitality or Kitchen Operations will be able to build on their skills and knowledge. Skills will be further developed in:
Communication & customer service

OHS and Industry Hygiene standards
Time management
Multitasking
Typical Tasks & Duties
Typical duties students may be involved in include:
Food & drink service
Customer service
Register operation
Food preparation
Cleaning and other duties
Please note this role may include both front and back of house, dependant on student capability.
Student Requirements
Students must be willing to learn and interested in hospitality. You will need to be well presented, and work well in a team environment.
Dress Requirements
Students must be well presented, wear comfortable, enclosed shoes and have hair tied back if longer than shoulder length.
