Typical Tasks & Duties

A teacher's aide role is to assist the teacher and reinforce the instruction taught in the classroom, this may include:
• Classroom observation
• Going over lessons with students individually
• Assisting students in reading and writing skills
• Answering questions
• Assisting with the integration of technology in the classroom

You may also be asked to:
• Supervise the students outside of the classroom on the playground, during bathroom breaks, at lunch time and on field trips.
• Helping set up activities and general tidying up
• Meal assistance and any other duties required by supervisor.

Student Requirements

Students should have a genuine interest in working with children, be responsible, have good interpersonal skills and a level of maturity.

Dress Requirements

Wear neat casual attire e.g., long pants or skirt, top with sleeves and comfortable closed in shoes. If hair is longer than shoulder length it must be tied back.

Special Transport Requirements

Public transport is available.
