Hair for Men is a bright, modern and well established hairdressing salon. The atmosphere is very friendly and is not as fast paced as a full hairdressing salon, as just offers walk in cuts. The owner is very supportive of the SWL program and students will gain valuable experience in this profession.

Skills You Might Learn

Students will gain some industry specific skills from observing and learning from industry qualified and experienced professionals.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will assist with preparing clients for salon services, maintain tools and equipment and help organise work areas. They may also greet and seat clients as well as handle phone reception duties.

Student Requirements

Students should have an interest in Hairdressing. They should also be enthusiastic and willing to learn, punctual, neat presentation, and have a polite manner and a good attitude.

Dress Requirements

Students should wear appropriate closed flat shoes, black clothing top & pants, hair up, and dress neat and tidy.

Placement is in Hamilton CBD.
