Early Childhood Educator

A student placement has become available at Goodstart Early Learning in Portland. Play all day, whilst supporting child care room coordinators and other staff. Beginning in term 2, the student will be involved in room activities and provide support and guidance to children of various ages who attend child care and/or kindergarten. Skills You Might Learn

Your day will be filled with variety and some of the skills you will obtain will include communication skills, organisational skills, problem solving, work in a team environment, time management skills, ability to multi-task to name a few

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be guided by the room coordinator or kindergarten Teachers, they will set up various activities and guide and support children through their play, helping them to communicate, develop their social skills and have fun along the way.

Student Requirements

Must have a current Working with Children's Check (WWC) if over 18 years of age or must apply to have one by the date you turn 18 years old.

Dress Requirements

Neat Casual, closed Toe Shoes. Must wear Hat when required.
