Typical Tasks & Duties
Students will have the opportunity to spend time with experienced professional staff, assisting in the following task and duties:
• Assisting with Repairs: You may assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing electronic systems in cars, home appliances, and rigid tools.
• Testing and Calibration: You might assist in testing repaired electronic systems to ensure they are functioning properly. This could involve using specialized testing equipment, following testing protocols, and calibrating devices to meet performance standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: You may be required to document repairs, update service logs, and maintain a comprehensive record of the work performed.
• Customer Service: You may need to communicate with customers, understand their concerns, and provide updates on the progress of repairs.
• Safety and Compliance: Following safety protocols and adhering to regulations is crucial, ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with any relevant industry standards or guidelines.
• Learning Opportunities: Take advantage of the work placement to learn as much as possible. Ask questions, observe experienced technicians, and seek opportunities to develop your skills. This may include learning about new repair techniques, staying updated with the latest technology.

Students are expected to be on time and ready to work safely in a team.
The student will be mature and prepared to go the extra mile. They will also need to show enthusiasm and an interest to learn new skills. They need to be focused and able to listen to instructions and follow through with instructions to complete a task. The student needs to be punctual and possess good work ethics.
