Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will have the opportunity to spend time with experienced professional staff, assisting in the following task and duties:
• Assisting with Repairs: You may assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing electronic home appliances.
• Testing and Calibration: You might assist in testing repaired electronic systems to ensure they are functioning properly. This could involve using specialized testing equipment, following testing protocols, and calibrating devices to meet performance standards.
• Make Appliances Ready for Sale: perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of second-hand appliances, ensuring they are safe for use and ready for resale.
• Documentation and Reporting
• Customer Service
• Safety and Compliance: Following safety protocols and adhering to regulations is crucial, ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and comply with any relevant industry standards or guidelines.
• Learning Opportunities: Take advantage of the work placement to learn as much as possible. Ask questions, observe experienced technicians, and seek opportunities to develop your skills. This may include learning about new repair techniques, staying updated with the latest technology.
