Combined Preschools of Southern Grampians (CPSG) is an Early Years Management organisation (EYM) that is responsible for the enrolments and service delivery at seven kindergartens across the Shire of Southern Grampians.
Opportunities are available at 7 of the 8 sites where you can learn from dedicated, experienced and knowledgeable early childhood educators.
CPSG kindergartens deliver a funded Kindergarten program for 4 year old children in the year before school and also offers a pre-kindergarten program for 3 year olds at most sites.

Skills You Might Learn

You will have the opportunity to identify and implement health and safety practices for children under 6 years of age. Communication skills, attention to quality and detail, working as a team and independently. Time management, problem solving and be exposed to a broad range of quality programs and practice in early childhood education.

Typical Tasks & Duties

You will work alongside Kindergarten staff and be exposed to a diverse range of tasks. These include working directly with children in play based programs, maintaining a safe and clean environment, following the procedures and practices of the service with some office duties such as filing and record keeping. You will observe behavior patterns in children at various ages and stages of their development.

Student Requirements

Students should be punctual and have a genuine commitment to working within the industry. Hours of work to be set with the employer at an informal interview.
You must have good communication skills and respect and maintain confidentiality on all issues relating to children and families and comply with CPSG’s Privacy Policy.
You will be required to adhere to all CPSG’s policies and procedures, and these will be provided to you at induction.

Dress Requirements

Neat comfortable attire, shoulders to be covered at all times (see CPSG’s Sun Protection Policy), flat, closed toe shoes and hair tied back.
Attention to weather conditions ie: Hat, raincoat etc.

Special Transport Requirements

Travel may be required for occasional excursions therefore a Travel Arrangement Form will be required.
