Do you have a passion for automotive repair? This is an opportunity for a student who has a keen interest in Automotive Industry! This employer is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and very keen to train a year 11 and 12 student that would like to develop new automotive skills.
Skills You Might Learn
Students may have the chance to develop skills/understanding in:
Follow safe working practices in an automotive workplace.
Identify automotive electrical systems and components.
Identify automotive mechanical systems and components.
Operate electrical test equipment.
Assist with automotive workplace activities.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The student will assist the staff with a broad range of tasks such; observing and learning to fault find, do repairs / maintenance on existing vehicles or equipment, use of basic hand tools, removal of car parts and placing back together.
Student Requirements
Students must have a keen interest in the Automotive Industry, prepared to learn and value this opportunity. Appropriate work clothes must be worn, and it is important to be punctual and respect the work environment. If you are willing to learn you will be given a lot of opportunity to gain practical and hands on skills.

Safety work boots and pants required
Special Transport Requirements
Students must provide own transport to and from the office site. Public transport is available (you can use bus 828 and stop at Dingley Avenue. from there you need to walk only 7 minutes to reach the destination).
