Skills You Might Learn

In addition to learning about organic fruit and vegetables, during placement students will gain a number of skills including customer service skills, point of sale, operational procedures, merchandising and teamwork.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Working in the farm harvest/green grocer department, students will learn all about Good Food Emporium's seasonal fruit and vegetable offerings and how to display them. Students will perform various daily tasks including unpacking deliveries, merchandise the fruit and vegetables and complete fridge temperature checks. Students will assist customer's enquiries and direct them to appropriate departments/products.

Student Requirements

Students should have an energetic and enthusiastic approach willing to deal with a wide range of customers. Must be able to work as a team and respond to direction.

Dress Requirements

Neat and tidy appearance wearing black clothing with sleeves and closed toe shoes.

Special Transport Requirements

Accessible by public transport. Walking distance to Narre Warren station.
