Our switchboards are designed to relevant Australian Standard Industry AS3000, AS61439 and AS3439



Our custom built switchboards service includes:

Designing Main Switchboards, Control Switchboards, Group metering Switchboards, CT Chambers, and Electrical Control Panels for a diverse range of industry sectors.

Skills You Might Learn

-Proficiency in cutting, bending, and shaping metal sheets using hand tools and machinery
-Experience in using and maintaining various hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, grinders, and welders
-Understanding and adhering to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
-Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) safe handling of hazardous materials
-Developing critical thinking skills to identify and solve issues during the fabrication process

Through hands-on experience and formal training, apprentices can gain a well-rounded set of technical, practical, and safety skills that will prepare them for a career in precision sheetmetal fabrication and related fields.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Once students have received some training, they will eventually be involved in tasks such as:

• Select types of sheet metal or Steel according to design plans
• Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
• Drill holes in metal for screws, bolts, and rivets
• Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks
• Fabricate or alter parts
• MIG and TIG welding
• Sheetmetal Fabrication with, Zinc Sheet, Aluminium and Stainless Steel.
• Fasten seams and joints by welding, bolting, riveting
• Operating Press Brake Machine for folding and bending and Gelatine Machine for precision cutting
• Working along a very experienced team

Student Requirements

Students should have a positive attitude and be prepared to learn and ask questions. This employer is eager to identify the ideal candidate and transition SWL students into apprenticeships.
