Skills You Might Learn

Communication in the workplace, planning, technology in building & construction, learn to read plans, building terminology and team work.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Assist carpenters, carry materials, hand excavation. Use small tools, read plans and drawings, workplace communication, follow instructions, cleaning work site and tools.

Assist trades person on work site.

Student Requirements

Be enthusiastic and willing to learn, able to follow instructions, understand & follow all Occupational Health &Safety procedures.

Dress Requirements

Work wear appropriate for the Construction Industry including safety boots

Special Transport Requirements

Student to make own transport arrangements.
