BENDIGO ACTROL STORE - REECE Group have an opportunity for a student to become their next ASbA (Australian School-based Apprentice). Being part of the ASbA / SBAT program includes on the job training, mentoring, industry skills and an opportunity to learn about all areas of the retail business. The student will do theory work during paid work time while developing great customer service skills and working with the latest technology. This exciting opportunity will head towards a Certificate II in Retail Services and Certificate II in Supply Chain Operationswith the possibility of a full time/part time job upon completion.

Typical Tasks & Duties
Our program consists of both customer service and warehousing. The successful candidate will be involved in both areas, as they are both a requirement of the program and the way our business operates.
Customer service – Serving customers, meeting and greeting customers, Assisting customers with their needs, taking phone orders/messages, Using the cash register, eftpos machine, computer system, picking orders, preparing orders for pick up or delivery
Warehousing – Helping load and unload the vehicles, assisting on deliveries, checking stock, putting stock away, inwards Goods activities.
Student Requirements
*** ACCEPTING YEAR 10 STUDENTS ONLY ***
The Reece SBATs run for a minimum of 18 months which means the cut-off date is the end of May. Applications are currently only being accepted for those in Year 10.
Attendance is one day per week minimum out of school, plus a Saturday morning. Student needs to be 15 years or older.

Dress Requirements
Closed toed leather shoes (steel capped required when working in a civil branch), minimal jewellery, long hair tied back in accordance with the Reece Group dress and appearance policy. Additional details to be discussed at interview/sign up.
Successful candidates will be provided with approved Reece uniform. It is the responsibility of the ASbA to make sure their uniform is clean, neat and tidy at all times.
Special Transport Requirements
No specific transport requirements, however students may have the opportunity to assist with deliveries to various worksites.
Workplace close to bus, tram and train access.
