A great opportunity to gain hands on retail experience with this multi-national company that supplies fuel to 1400 service stations across Australia! BP has over a 1000 independently owned service stations selling fuel with the BP brand. Many of their service centers have truck stops, shops or Wild Bean Cafes which offer customers a range of products and services including: auto products, drinks, coffee, food, groceries and magazines fuel and gift cards car washing and trailer hire, and much more! This is a very busy service center and a great place to learn all aspects of working in a retail setting.
Skills You Might Learn
You will learn all aspects of a busy retail centre. You will learn about customer service, stock control inventory, store presentation, stock rotation, cleaning duties, cash handling and much more.
Typical Tasks & Duties
Serving customers • Communicate with customers • Work effectively with other team members • Replenishment of stock • Receiving stock in the storeroom • Merchandising and pricing • Register operation and understanding register procedures especially in a high volume environment • Plan and organise daily shift tasks • Follow OH&S procedures
Student Requirements
This is a busy Service Centre so you will need to bring an enthusiastic and positive attitude towards Retail Services. As a Retail Service Assistant you will need a keen eye for detail and be self-motivated, willing to listen and follow instructions. An on line induction may also be required. Students must be fully vaccinated as per government requirements.
Dress Requirements
Neat casual. Students to wear closed-toe shoes.
Special Transport Requirements
Please insure the student can get to the site on the freeway
