The Primary duties of a teacher include: to achieve all-around development of students by guiding them in their learning process. to provide motivation for learning, to stimulate learners in order to realize their optimum potential. As a Work Experience student you will receive a great insight into how a classroom is run and what goes into preparing for a class behind the scenes.

Skills You Might Learn

You will learn about how to create a lesson plans to teach students subjects, such as reading, science, and math. You will see how to teach students to interact with others whilst observing students to evaluate their abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. You will also learn how to instruct an entire class or smaller groups of students.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Primary School Teachers teach a range of subjects within a prescribed curriculum to primary school students and promote students' social, emotional, intellectual and physical development. You will observe all aspects of teaching both in and out of the class room.
