A placement opportunity exists for an enthusiastic student to join Kadasan Auto Services. They provide vehicle service and repair Centre. The company provides comprehensive repairs and servicing to all make and model vehicles. Services offered include: minor servicing, roadworthy certificate, or major mechanical repairs, we have what you need at prices you can afford. At Kadasan Auto Services, our goal is to provide you with courteous, expedient, professional service of the highest caliber.

Skills You Might Learn

Basic diagnostic skills will be developed, identification of tools, computer software will also be used with basic diagnostic tasks. Students will also learn a number of employability skills including presentation, working as part of a team, communication skills, customer service and after care follow up.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Working alongside the service Manager you will have the opportunity to undertake basic mechanical tasks that may include but not limited to:
- learn to manually assess vehicles
- work on a variety of vehicles types
- learn to diagnose and repair vehicles
- tidying and maintenance of workshop equipment

You will have the opportunity to observe and assist (if appropriate) in the general service and repair of vehicles. If the student shows initiative and demonstrates the ability to follow instructions, they may be given more responsibilities.

Student Requirements

Whilst the students are attending a work placement they are expected to:
- Dress appropriately
- Maintain interest and participate in work duties
- Be well mannered and behave in a respectful and responsible manner towards staff and customers
- Be punctual
- Follow management instructions
- Act in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements
- Work within the team
- Listen and take advice from the manager
- Respect other people’s belongings
- Keep a note pad and pen handy to take notes for their own reference
- Demonstrate the skills they have developed through their course
- Take their Logbook to the work placement every day.

Dress Requirements

The employer expects the student to arrive on time for their placement and follow instructions given to them.
