This placement is a great opportunity for students to learn about retail on a large scale in a leading supermarket whose people are at the heart of all they do.
With a wide range of products, fresh food and takeaway options, students will experience hands-on practical customer service experience in a fast past environment.
It is a great opportunity for students to improve teamwork skills, communication skills and self-confidence!

Typical Tasks & Duties
Working with qualified staff/Supervisors students may have the opportunity to:
· Learn various aspects of the supermarket business by working in different departments e.g., fresh produce, bakery, grocery
· A broad range of skills and experiences will be covered during the course of the placement dependent on student’s skill level and interest
Student Requirements
Students will need to have a positive attitude, friendly demeanour and be reliable.
Students who demonstrate a positive work ethic and attitude, may have the opportunity to discuss part time work opportunities.
No mobile phones are permitted whilst on the floor in-store.
Dress Requirements
Neat casual, plain clothes (e.g., plain black pants and white shirt – no logos) covered in shoes or boots. No dangly earrings, and if hair is longer than shoulder length it must be tied up.

Public transport is available.
