Salvo's Stores Tarneit

The Salvo's Stores are an arm of the Salvation Army. They are a Op Shop that provides cheap second hand donated goods for purchase. There are over 400 Salvo's stores nationwide and are run mostly by volunteers. The stores have a large range of goods available for purchase, anything from clothes and small household appliances through to furniture.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be working as volunteers and assisting with all duties ranging from:
Unloading incoming goods,
Sorting of incoming goods,
Merchandising,
Pricing and tagging of incoming goods for sale
Assisting customers,
Cleaning and putting displaced good back onto shelves.

Student Requirements

Students will need to be aware of confidentiality.
Will need to be will to learn and have a element of attention to detail.
Students will need to be reliable.
Students must contact Jodie within one week of this placement being arranged to organise a meeting time for a short interview, extra paperwork requirements for the Salvation Army and signing of Education Department paperwork.

Dress Requirements

Neat Casual.
Please discuss further at interview.

Special Transport Requirements

Students must be able to make their own way to this store.
It is within walking distance to Tarneit Station and bus services.
