Skills You Might Learn
You will have the opportunity to build on your current knowledge and begin to develop the necessary skills that are required to work in the plumbing industry. Some of the more general work related skills that you will develop are; time management, communication and problem solving.
Typical Tasks & Duties
You will work alongside qualified staff who are undertaking general plumbing repair and maintenance, so take this opportunity to ask questions, take notes and explore a variety of general plumbing skills such as; use plumbing pipes, fittings and fixtures to simulate plumbing installations, use basic power tools and plumbing hand tools.
Student Requirements
The employer has had a number of student placements, they value someone who gets along with others, is self-motivated, shows initiative, is happy to listen and take direction and accepts feedback. If you can bring these characteristics to this placement then contact the employer and arrange an interview.
Dress Requirements
You need to wear safety boots and clothing appropriate for trade. All other PPE gear will be supplied.
Special Transport Requirements
You need to find transport to East Keilor, close to Milleara Shopping Centre.
