Typical Tasks & Duties


Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of food, as required
• Washing dishes, pots and utensils
• Cleaning benches, floors, toilets and other areas around the restaurant
• Ensuring the kitchen is clean and sanitary
• Implementing all hygiene and Health & Safety regulations
• Handling, sorting and distributing food items
• clean kitchen equipment and appliances including benchtops, floors,
ovens and ranges
• receive, lift, handle and store food deliveries
• retrieve food items as requested by chefs
• ensure working areas are kept clear
• Disposing of rubbish
