AGL Loy Yang asset consists of a 2,200 megawatt power station, together with an adjacent brown coal mine which is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere. The power station supplies approximately one third of Victoria's power requirements. The Security and Emergency Response Assistant at AGL / Loy Yang A Power Station will assist the security and safety team in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the power plant. This role offers students an opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience in power station operations, safety protocols, and emergency response procedures specific to the energy sector.

Student Requirements
• Student Year 10 to 12 with an interest in security, safety, energy, or emergency management.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict safety protocols.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions carefully.
• Good communication skills, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency or crisis situations.
