Sales assistant

This employer is a not-for-profit organisation that supports young people in need. In 2009, they were established to engage public support and have now expanded to a second shop where all money made is given straight back to disadvantaged youth. An opportunity exists for students looking to get valuable retail experience in a supported environment. An amazing team of volunteers run both OP Shops and are excited to teach students lifelong employability skills.

Skills You Might Learn

Customer service skills, communication skills, safe working practices, team work and time management. Learn other workplace skills from dedicated and knowledgeable staff who are keen to share their knowledge and assist students in fulfilling their workplace goals.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Customer service, sorting donations, window and shelve dressing, cleaning, rearranging stock, tidying racks and shelves, front of house and back of house tasks, other tasks as directed by supervisor.

Student Requirements

Must be respectful and dedicated, can take direction and have an interest in the area. Participating students must be aged 17 years or over.

This employer requires all students to be fully vaccinated against COVID.
