Typical Tasks & Duties

The student will observe and spend time under the direct supervision of experienced and qualified staff. The student may undertake duties as a Property and Sales Administration Assistant as part of a professional and dedicated team in the day to day administration of the business. The student will complete basic Property and Sales Administration duties as instructed.

Administration duties may include but are not limited to:
• Develop keyboarding speed and accuracy.
• Contribute to health and safety of self and others.
• Organise schedules.
• Create electronic presentations.
• Design and produce business documents.
• Design and produce text documents.
• Write simple documents.
• Produce spreadsheets.
• Produce desktop published documents.
• Deliver and monitor a service to customers.
• Process customer complaints.
• Organise workplace information.
• Utilise a knowledge management system.

Property Management Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Appraise property for lease.
• Market property.
• Establish landlord relationships.
• Manage tenant relationships.
• Manage tenancy.

Property Sales Duties may include but are not limited to:
• Prepare for professional practice in real estate.
• Establish marketing and communication profiles in real estate.
• Appraise property for sale.
• Establish vendor relationships.
• Establish buyer relationships.
• Sell property.

Student Requirements

Students with a positive attitude towards Property and Sales Administration Assistant with a keen eye for detail and are self-motivated, willing to listen and follow instruction are encouraged to consider a future WE Opportunity placement to develop skills learned from their school subjects related to Business.

Whilst the student is attending the work placement they are expected to:
• Dress appropriately.
• Maintain interest and participate in tasks and work duties.
• Be well mannered and behave in a respectful and responsible manner.
• Be punctual.
• Follow management instructions.
• Act in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements.
• Work within the team.
• Listen and take advice from fellow workers.
• Respect other people’s belongings.
• Keep a note pad and pen handy to take notes for their own reference.
• Demonstrate the skills they have developed through their course.
• Take their Log Book to the work placement every day.

Dress Requirements

The student will be required to present in the following work attire;
• Neat and professional work attire such black pants, business top or shirt.
• Closed footwear must be worn.
• Professionally presented at all times.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to the tasks and duties carried out by the student, will be supplied by the Employer.

Special Transport Requirements

Public Transport is limited, students to check bus transport availability and or speak to parents/carer to organise transport prior to contacting employer.
