Typical Tasks & Duties

You will have the opportunity to maximise your skills and knowledge during your time at the salon. Duties may include Shampoo hair, keeping the salon clean and tidy, making customer’s tea/coffee, general housekeeping, greeting customers, getting equipment ready for the qualified hairdresser and assisting other staff members as required.

It's important for work placement students to ask questions, seek guidance, and follow instructions from their supervisors to ensure they are performing their duties safely and effectively.

Student Requirements

• Show initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
• Demonstrates a friendly and respectful attitude towards others
• Is reliable, punctual, and takes pride in their appearance.
• Personal mobile phones are not required and should only be used out of work hours or on meal breaks.
