Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will:
- Greet and seat clients and offer refreshments.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties such as sweeping floors, tidying stations, and helping keep the salon looking professional.
- Support therapists during treatments (as appropriate and under supervision).
- Observe services depending on salon activity on the day.
- Help with preparing work areas and maintaining tools and equipment.
- Answer phones and assist with reception tasks as appropriate.

Student Requirements

To ensure a positive experience for both student and host, students are expected to:
- Be genuinely interested in the beauty industry
- Be reliable and professional in their conduct
- Be confident or willing to learn basic expectations like making tea/coffee, sweeping, and presenting well
- Be willing to follow salon procedures and instructions
- Be comfortable in a customer-facing environment

Bonus: Students who can demonstrate an understanding of general salon etiquette, embrace 'tea and tidy' duties and have confidence with simple tasks will thrive here. You may be asked to meet with the host beforehand for a short induction or suitability check.

Dress Requirements

Black clothing suitable for a beauty salon (e.g. neat black pants, shirt, closed shoes). Hair should be tidy, and minimal jewelry or makeup as appropriate to salon standards.

Special Transport Requirements

Students to arrange their own transport.
