Placement Details:
- Duration: 5 days (11-15 May or 15-19 June or 14-18 September)
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily
- Location: Grampians Health – Horsham
This program offers students hands-on exposure to a range of clinical healthcare roles, providing insight into essential operational areas that keep our organisation running smoothly.
Areas of Experience:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatry
- Speech Pathology
- Radiology
- Exercise Physiology
- Dietetics
Students will observe and interact with healthcare professionals, gaining insight into the many roles and responsibilities within the healthcare sector.

Typical Tasks & Duties
During the placement, students may participate in a variety of hands-on tasks, including:
- Healthcare Documentation: Learn accurate patient record-keeping.
- Radiology Observation: Watch imaging procedures like X-rays.
- Shadowing Professionals: Observe patient care and treatment delivery.
- Administrative Support: Assist with scheduling and filing.
- Medical Terminology: Gain knowledge of key health terms and anatomy.
- Patient Interaction (Supervised): Help with basic tasks under guidance.
- Hands-on Support: Prepare equipment or treatment rooms (if applicable).
Student Requirements
- Interest in a healthcare career
- Preference for students studying related subjects or showing strong interest
Dress Requirements
Smart, neat attire (short-sleeved polo, enclosed shoes, no jewellery)
Preferred: School uniform polo
Unacceptable: Clothing with non-school logos or inappropriate designs
Special Transport Requirements
This placement is in Horsham. Students are to make their own travel arrangements to attend the placement. Public transport information is available from PTV at https://www.ptv.vic.gov.au/
