Living Legends
Living Legends is a registered charity based at one of the Southern Hemisphere’s most historic thoroughbred properties Woodlands Historic Homestead and Park. Our aim is to provide visitors with an opportunity to meet and mingle with racing legends in a traditional historic Australian setting. Our stable of 40 horses includes the winners of 5 Melbourne, 2 Cox Plates and two Caulfield Cups. We have sprinting superstar Apache Cat and international bred horses from Europe and the USA. Our horses go on the road attending race meetings and special events such as the Melbourne Cup parade down Swanston Street in Melbourne on the day before the Melbourne Cup. Spring Carnival is an exciting time of year with our horses attending many functions and events as well as race meeting. However, some of our best work is done away from the limelight on a year round basis back at the farm. We have a very broad education and learning program ranging from primary and secondary school students to undergraduate and post graduate university and technical colleges.
