Skills You Might Learn

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop strong communication, problem solving, time management and customer service skills, relevant to any industry.
Specific skills aligned to VET may include booking supplier products and services, conducting online transactions, coordinating on-site event registrations, using spreadsheets and databases, developing basking lighting, staging, prop and sound tech skills, installing and dismantling exhibition elements as required.

Typical Tasks & Duties

This diverse role requires students to set up rooms to meet the needs of the client (including furniture placement, supporting I.T. requirements, tea/coffee and refreshment stations). The settings available could suit large scale performances, intimate meetings, information sessions, celebration events, break-out and activity based spaces.

Student Requirements

This role may require some manual lifting (eg. placing tables and chairs, refreshment stations, etc.). Best suited to VCE or VCAL students undertaking Hospitality, Business or Events qualifications.

Dress Requirements

Closed toed shoes, black pants and top. Long hair to be tied back. Discreet jewellery and make-up is preferred. To be discussed further at interview.

Special Transport Requirements

Venue is close to bus and tram access.
Travel Form may be required to enable student to move between sites.
