Early Childhood Educator

Y Kinders offers both WE and SWL across Victoria – specific sites and dates are offered according to business capacity and workplace hours.
For students wishing to take up one of these placements, hours per day may be negotiated with the specific site.

Placement available at Hamilton Monday to Friday for After School Program and Full Days in School Holidays.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Assisting teachers and educators with planned activities and experiences, setting education learning spaces in both the indoor and outdoor environment.
- Engaging with children and parent/guardians as instructed by the teacher in charge.
- Completing all related tasks as assigned by the teacher and educators.

Dress Requirements

Wear neat casual attire for indoor and outdoor play and comfortable shoes that you can move in quickly e.g., no short shorts, spaghetti straps or revealing outfits. In the warmer months Sunsmart clothes are essential. Wear clothes that are appropriate for sitting on the floor and be mindful of potential paint spills or mud stains. Hair up and discreet jewellery preferred for reasons of safety (e.g., no dangly earrings).

Special Transport Requirements

Students to arrange own transport to and from placement. Hamilton OHSC is located at Gray St Primary School, Hamilton.
