The East Gippsland Shire is actively participating in the Work Placement program in our region. The process for application is detailed in the Teacher Instruction Section below. GELLEN is supporting the Shires placement offers through this promotion.

Being a large and diverse a local employer, a placement with the Shire will enable you to gain wide ranging experience in a professional working environment. You will gain skills in communication, IT use, planning, preparation for work, teamwork, problem solving and wide ranging hands on skills.
Typical Tasks & Duties
The East Gippsland Shire is offering placement across the following business areas: □ Business/Administration □ Parks and Gardens □ Family Services/Childcare/Preschool □Sport and Recreation □Arts and Culture □Engineering □Libraries □Tourism/Events Management □ Town Planning and Building □ Community Services □Procurement/Finance □Indigenous Employment □ Local Laws □ Human Resources. The Shire has multiple work sites across the region and placement opportunities will be determined by services offered and local capability to support students.
Student Requirements
Students will be required to complete an Work Placement Application form to request a placement.
