This placement opportunity is ideal for students interested in gaining hands-on experience working with helicopters, rather than fixed-wing aircraft. The position is available for a one or two-week block placement and is located at Essendon Fields. You will have the chance to work closely with a small, dedicated team, allowing for an immersive and collaborative learning experience in a dynamic aviation environment. Typical Tasks & Duties

During this placement, students will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of hands-on tasks, including:

Collaborating alongside qualified engineers and maintenance professionals to gain practical experience.
Assisting in the hangar, preparing helicopters for arrival and ensuring readiness for operation.
Observing and assisting with maintenance tasks, providing valuable insight into the maintenance processes of helicopters.
Contributing to administrative duties, such as preparing paperwork and reports, essential for maintaining accurate records.
This experience will allow students to develop a well-rounded understanding of the aviation industry and gain valuable exposure to real-world tasks in a professional setting.

Student Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Cert II in Aircraft Line Maintenance and have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the helicopter industry.

Dress Requirements

Must wear neat clothing that can get dirty in the workshop. Clothed toe shoes.

Must make your own way to placement
