Fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a busy retail chemist offering a wide range of products and personal services. Students will be supervised by experienced staff and have the chance to work across different departments within the store (excluding the dispensary). A great way to develop customer service skills and gain insight into the retail and service side of the health industry.

Typical Tasks & Duties

Students will be assisting in customer service, stock and maintenance. Stocking shelves, cleaning and interacting with staff and customers. You will observe point of sale and take part in providing advice to customers regarding medications and suitable products.

Student Requirements

This is a very busy chemist with a large number of staff and customers. Students will be required to attend and interview for this work experience placement. Appropriate dress, good communication, punctuality and able to communicate well with a busy clientele is essential. Employer prefers phone contact to email.

By Train & Bus: Take the Cranbourne line to Narre Warren Station, then catch Bus 841 to Galloway Dr/Narre Warren-Cranbourne Rd (7 min). From there, it’s a short walk to Blooms The Chemist in Casey Central.
