Placement Details:
- Duration: 5 days
- Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily
- Location: Grampians Health – Stawell

This program offers students hands-on exposure to a range of non-clinical healthcare roles, providing insight into essential operational areas that keep our organisation running smoothly.

Areas of Experience:
- Communications
- Administration
- Catering & Cafeteria
- Ward Clerk
- Health Information Management

Students will observe and participate in tasks that build practical skills and highlight the role these services play in healthcare delivery. The specific areas you experience during your placement may vary depending on staffing levels at the time.

One week prior to your placement, you will receive an email from Grampians Health with all the details, including your schedule and any additional requirements.

Typical Tasks & Duties

During the placement, students may participate in a variety of hands-on tasks, including:

- Assisting with food preparation and cafeteria duties
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment
- Preparing rooms for use
- Supporting administration activities
- Assisting with communication campaigns and strategies

Student Requirements

- Interest in a healthcare career
- Preference for students studying related subjects or demonstrating interest in the field

Dress Requirements

Smart, neat attire (short-sleeved polo, enclosed shoes, no jewellery)
Preferred: School uniform polo
Unacceptable: Clothing with non-school logos or inappropriate designs

Special Transport Requirements

Students (or parents/guardians for under 18s) are responsible for transport to and from the workplace.
